Hey ho! Welcome to the Secret Sealing Club also know as Hifuu Club. In this website we are going to be discussing our reasearch into this mysterious place called Gensokyo and the events that unfold here. Our sources... they came to us in dream... WE'RE NOT LYING!!!! They quite literally come to us in a dream, as something something idk while dreaming were able to cross a boundary. Gensokyo is a mysterious place in the border between fantasy and reality, our members are currently only Renko Usami and Maribel Hearn. Our president and founder Sumireko Usami is also somewhere but uh we don't know were. We think she is also in Gensokyo doing who knows what. Anywho like previously mentioned we will be going into the details of Gensokyo and the history of the place. Various major events also known as "incidents" make up a large majority of this place's history. Now in the next section we will be discussing what even is Gensokyo.
Gensokyo as previously mentioned is as aforementioned a place that dwells in the border between fantasy and reality. Huh wait what's happe- *Yukari posseses web designer now*. Ara! how are you doing today I Yukari will be your informant as of now. Now lets do some old fashioned 4th wall breaking and actually discuss what this is all about. Gensokyo is the main setting of the series of bullet hell games known as the Touhou Project. It was created roughly 500 years ago by none other than me the forever 17 year old girl kyahahahaah! And some other people helped, these are known as the sages of Gensokyo. Today Gensokyo is bordered off from the "outside world" or the real world as you people call it by the "Great Hakurei Barrier". It divides reality and illusion and not is not a traditional barrier in a sense that you cannot really interact with it. You cannot cross it as there is no physical start, though I as the Youkai of borders can freely come in and out whenever ( ̄︶ ̄). There are rare moments when people from the outside world are able to cross these borders and come into Gensokyo. In the real world it is known as spiriting away. Like these two girls of the Hifuu club are prime examples of outsiders that know about Gensokyo. There are also other realms like Hell which is... hell but like the Japanese version of hell not the biblical version. There is also more on the afterlife like Old Hell which like the name implies is a former hell, the Sanzu River where shinigami lead dead souls, and the Netherworld where Hakugyokurou resides. The far side moon is inhabited Lunarians in what's called the Lunar Capital. There are more like Makai and things like that but this part is getting too long so now let's talk about what Touhou even is on the first place. It's a series of danmaku style games... eeehh you don't know what danmaku is kusukusukusu. Danmaku translates to basically bullet hell, and just like the name implies it is a hell of a lot of bullets. Fill the screen and you have to dodge everysingle one while trying to shoot back. Also most important of all but all of this was created by one singular man. Jun'ya Ōta, more famously known as ZUN is the sole developer of all of the main Touhou games. Though under the name Team Shanghai Alice, it's really just him. He collaborates with some studios to create what I like to dub the decimal games, or the spin offs. Most of these are the non-bullet hell games and often are 2d fighting games. Btw he loves beer lol its so funny.

*Maribel and Renko come back to their senses* Whoa what was that!?!??! We just suddenly blacked out and now it seems that half of main page is complete. Well anyways lets see the topic here was incidents. Ah ok now I see what we have to talk abotu. So these so called incidents are the main driving point of the story of Gensokyo. They're major cataclysms from what we've observed changing the way Gensokyo and it's inhabitants live and forcing some to do something about it. The extent of these incidents usually encompass all of Gensokyo and put it at danger. For example one incident that we can't cover here is the incident of Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom. As a sagacious spirit known as Junko invades the Lunar Capital (oh yea btw there are rabbits on the far side of the moon known as Lunarians... wait this was already said before by the mysterious possesor) with an army of faries and her ally, the queen of hell, Hecatia Lapizlasuli. The Lunarians decide to try and purify Gensokyo to replace the Lunar Capital with Gensokyo as their new home. Though purification was not a good thing for the average joe in Gensokyo, there were many reports of organic beings being turned into stone as that's what usually happens. So naturally all of Gensokyo was in danger of this. Often the main one to resolve these conflicts is a shrine maiden of the "Hakurei" shrine known as Reimu Hakurei. Below are going to be the first seven incidents (Touhou 6-13) and a link to a seperate page that will give more indepth description of them. *Yukari takes over again* Ara! Also the reason the games start at six is because it is technically not the starting point. Most consider it the starting point but there were previously 5 previous games but all of them were made for the PC-98. The current era is known as the windows era and the previous PC-98 era is often considered non-canon with only 4 characters from the previous era returning: Reimu Hakurei (duh), Marisa Kirisame (also duh), Alice Margatroid, and Yuuka Kazami. Also at this point I'm just going to keep breaking the fourth wall since I have for all of these thingies

*Another moment of coming back* Ok uh... I guess we're going to ignore these since they seem to be frequently happening. So now we are going to discuss what we consider the heroines of these games. Who you could consider as the main protagonist is Reimu Hakurei, as she is the one who has been here from what I believe is the first incident. Taking place in Highly Responsive to Prayers she's seen it all. Though there are more heroines like Marisa who is also basically the second main heroine at this point, she joined in the second game Story of Easter Wonderland and has been there ever since. And later on as more games pass by, previous enemies join the heroines like Sanae Kochiya who was the 5th Stage enemy on the Mountain of Faith game, or Reisen Udongein Inaba who comes from the 4th Stage of Imperishable Night.

Like previously stated all of this is under the copyright of ZUN and Team Shanghai Alice (basically also just him). All credit goes to the GOAT for creating these masterpieces of a game. Also check out the music for these games, it's literally the only music I have been listening to since the start of the year.
