It's about to be Gensokyo's Harvest Moon Festival. Of course everyone is waiting for it to turn into a full moon to celebrate and stuff. But then it is found out that the moon in the sky is a fake one that could never turn into a full one. If the incident is not resolved by dawn, then the world of Gensokyo risks having a literal imperishable night/neverending night. The main heroines along with another youkai as a companion decided to investigate this incident quickly. Their research leads them to the bamboo forest, where the residence of Eientei resides. Its residents are runaway lunarians, with Kaguya Houraisan being the previous princess of the moon. The reason for why they took the moon hostage seems to be that they want to hide away from the Lunarians who may want to bring them back from their exile. After all they're convicts back in the Lunar Capital
Gimmicks, Playable Characters, and Spell Cards
TAKES TOO LONG I'M JUST GOING TO GO WITH PLOT, GIMMICKS, AND FIGHTS NO MORE OF THIS SHOT TYPES SINCE IT'S DUE TOMORROW. Ok this games main gimmick is the time meter, as previously stated the heroines only have until 5:00 AM (starting at 11: PM) to resolve this incident. Once it reaches that time the game immediatly ends. Also this game has a duo mechanic. There is a human side and a youkai side for each playable character. For Reimu I am the one to accompany her (Yukari), for Marisa you get Alice, for Sakuya you get Remilia, and for Youmu you get Yuyuko. Each side can be switched by going in and out of focus mode (shift), humans are unfocused shots and youkai are focused shots. There is also a percentage meter, by shooting from the human side the meter fills up human and vice versa for youkai. Having the meter fill 80% of one side gives you a special property. And quick info for the next part there are these things called time orbs, each stage you'd have to collect enough time orbs to satisfy a quota. If that quota is met then at the end of the stage then time advances by only 30 minutes. If it is not then time advances by one hour. Using a continue also gives you an extra hour. Ok now lets get into the special properties that are given. When you fill up 80% of the human side, everytime you do damage to enemies they will drop time orbs. For youkai, time orbs are dropped when you graze bullets (get near them without hitting them)

Wriggle is a firefly youkai and has the ability to control multiple insects, I mean hornets, centipedes, huge beetles and everything else that is terrifying. This is the most terrifying skill and might have me screaming like a little girl. She wa in charge of the "Insect Notification Service", which was a program that she did to try and make insects look better. She'd send a swarm of them as an primitive type of announcement. Was the perfect morning alarm as people stated the woke up right away in a cold sweat, eventually she stopped it. | |

A night sparrow that enjoys putting terror into people by singing her songs. These songs seem to attract youkai as well. She is also able inflict blindness on humans, which makes it really annoying to fight her since in some spell card stages she literally blocks 90% of the screen with darkness yet she still shoots a load of bullets. She eventually created a punk rock band (Choujuu Gigakuu) with Kyouko Kasodani due to similar voice related attacks. Their music has received mixed reviews, on one hand they have a sizeable crowd of faireis and youkai at each concert. Yet on the other there have been many noise complaints with Aya Shameimaru reporting that "just a performance of explosive sounds and screaming about whatever annoys them" | |

Reisen is the pet of Kaguya and a former Lunarian soldier. She escaped the moon with Kaguya, as previously states she is able to induce insanity into people by manipulating wavelenghts. She used to be the pet of the Watatsuki Sister (you wont be learning about them in here). She also uses a gun for idk what reason I mean she can already shoot from her finger, and this gun is shaped like a megaphone as well. | |

Eirin Yagakoro is a doctor and a herbalist. She is the creator of the Hourai Elixir, which was basically the immortality elixir. Due to this she and along with Kaguya were exiled from the moon. Eirin is one of the oldest characters in Touhou being older than Lord Tsukuyomi and a founder of the Lunar Capital. She is well over 1500 years old and some estimate that she might be hundreds of millions of years old (wow). | |

The former princess of the Lunarians. Kaguya was later exiled from the moon after drinking the Hourai Elixir as it was seen as making them impure to Lunarians (they love purity). She has control over eternity and the instantaneous. Like for example once an item has been turned eternal it is never affected by change. A glass cup is turned eternal and it will eternally be that way it was, it can never break, melt, anything at all. And instantenous is being the opposite of this ability, being able to basically speed up something and manipulate its need for "instant". With this she was able to manipulate the state of the moon, and she also placed Eientei in a state of eternity. | |

Used to be a regular human. Until one day she drank the Hourai Elixir, one thing about the elixir is that it's close to Kaguya's eternity in which it causes you to eternally be the same state as you've always been. Therefore even when hurt, things will immediatly regenerate back to how they were. This basically causes wolverine levels of regeneration such as her being able to regenerate from a single hair. She holds a deep grudge against Kaguya due to her dishonoring her father years back. As part of a "marriage challenge", Kaguya set up impossible tasks for the man since I guess she just didn't want to marry him. But with the way the fandom depicts them you couldn't even tell they hate each other. | |
